Workshop Innovations for cost effective hydrogen solutions
19-05-2025 | Rotterdam, Netherlands
The workshop will focus on identifying viable first-mover projects and cuttingedge technology solutions related to hydrogen. Currently the industry faces significant challenges regarding investment costs and market activation of renewable fuels of non-biological origin (RFNBOs).
We aim to identify the ways and innovative technologies to competitive production and storage costs of low-carbon hydrogen (LCH) as enabler for low-carbon fuels (LCF), which is key to activate and stimulate the RFNBO (Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin) market.
Key Topics
- Utilization of existing infrastructure for sustainable energy carriers
- Cost-efficient production and utilization pathways for low-carbon hydrogen and various hydrogen based energy carriers, such as dimethyl ether, ammonia, or methanol
- International collaboration
We are honoured to design the programme of this workshop together with the German Organisation for Applied Scientific Research Fraunhofer and the Port of Rotterdam. Dr. Elias Frei, the new Director of Hydrogen Technologies at Fraunhofer ISE, will chair the event.
Workshop will be aboard a boat, cruising through the Port of Rotterdam, culminating in a dinner at the Wereldmuseum. Register now.
