Introducing Mert Colakoglu

We are delighted to welcome Mert Colakoglu, who joined TNO as a Senior Business Developer for Green Hydrogen on April 1st. Mert will be focusing on low-temperature water electrolysis topics, bringing his extensive expertise to our team.
Originally from Turkey, Mert moved to the Netherlands around five and a half years ago. During this time, he worked at FUJIFILM Tilburg as a new business developer, concentrating on potential new technologies and products for hydrogen, particularly low-temperature electrolyzer technologies. He also explored other energy transition technologies such as flow batteries and direct air capture (DAC).
Mert holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Energy Science and Technology. His passion for hydrogen and electrolyzer technologies is evident in his work and dedication to advancing these fields.

Based in Rijswijk, Mert will frequently travel to Petten for hydrogen-related activities and other locations as needed. He is looking forward to connecting with the stakeholders of the hydrogen value chain to discuss ideas and potential collaboration opportunities.
