New team membersWe had quite a few changes within our team this year and we are pleased to announce that we have welcomed 3 new team members: Yvette, Lisette and Matti!

Yvette Veninga has joined VoltaChem since June as Program and Community Manager for the Power-to-Integrate program of VoltaChem. Yvette graduated as chemical engineer at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen (Netherlands) in 1998. She started her career at Fluor, an engineering company, where she had the opportunity to work in all different phases of an engineering project. Her main topic was the revamping of desulfurization units to lower sulfur and nitrogen specs. After Fluor she continued her career at Albemarle, a catalyst production company in Amsterdam. She worked there in different functions, such as production engineer, program manager and department manager both in production and R&D. Whitin these roles she contributed to many environmental projects to reduce the emissions of the three catalyst plants. After 14 years working at Albemarle she took a sabbatical to investigate what would be the right direction for her career. At VoltaChem and TNO she found a match, where she could help to fulfill the ambitions that are needed for a sustainable future, working on a lot of challenging projects to push the green chemistry path further, together with many knowledgeable colleagues.

Lisette van Marrewijk has joined VoltaChem since September as Projectmanager Marketing & Communications. Lisette has nearly 10 years of experience within the communication and marketing field. Capable of working with agencies or in-house marketing departments to execute high-performing marketing strategies across digital and print channels. Lisette coordinates and oversees marketing and communication campaigns that generate brand awareness, increase sales revenue, and build trust. Lisette also holds a master’s degree in Environmental Resource Management and a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology. Her passion about sustainable development and her expertise in marketing is a great asset for realizing VoltaChem’s online and offline visibility.

Matti van Schooneveld has joined VoltaChem since October, as Senior Business Developer for Voltachem (SCI, CCE). Matti is a PhD chemist (Utrecht University), with expertise in inorganic, analytical, nano, colloid, metal and electrochemistry. He gained further work experience as a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion (Muelheim, DE) and Tata Steel (IJmuiden, NL). For the last 6 years he has worked with Magneto special anodes B.V. (Schiedam, NL) gaining commercial experience. After working for a short time as an account manager, Matti was responsible for building up a sales team and the topline (order intake) growth of this company as a sales manager. As a business development manager, together with a passionate R&D department, he  contributed to the development of new electrodes for the production of green hydrogen in electrolysers. At Voltachem and TNO, Matti strives to contribute to the further electrification of the chemical industry and the circularity of our material supply chains.

Unfortunately we also had to say goodbye to 3 of our colleagues; Monique Rijkers, Roman Latsuzbaia and Earl Goetheer. All three have contributed greatly to the development of the VoltaChem program, and we are very grateful for their hard work during the past years. We wish them lots of success in their new roles.

Interested to join our team? We are still looking for an experienced system engineer sustainable processes.
