VoltaChem focuses its efforts on the three most impactful chemical value chains for industrial electrification technology. These are the Fuels, Fertilizers and Plastic value chains.
Power-to-Fuels
The fuels value chain focuses on the production of (transportation) fuels using renewable energy. The opportunity for Power-to-Fuels, or synthetic fuels, lies in the need for decarbonisation of the mobility sector.
Power-to-Plastics
Plastics are used more and more often in our everyday lives. The plastics value chain enables creates these plastics from raw materials. With the societal call for more sustainable materials there is an opportunity for Power-to-Plastics, using renewables like biosources, waste or CO2 as feedstock.
Power-to-Fertilizers
The fertilizer value chain is essential for food production and focuses mostly on the production of ammonia and derivatives using renewable energy. The opportunity of Power-2-Fertilizers, lies in the need for reducing carbon emissions in the agro sector.
